DIGITAL AD MATERIAL SPECIFICATIONS
Preservation is in an all-digital format and is produced
direct-to-plate with no traditional film plate making. For information
on digital requirements or if you need conventional film specs,
call or e-mail Beth
Siegel, Advertising Production Manager, at (202) 588-6069.
Ads requiring production services
will be charged a service fee and are due by insertion order date.
Acceptable file format: Quark
Xpress 6; Adobe Illustrator 9.0.2; Adobe Photoshop (eps files)
7.0; Adobe Acrobat 6.0.2.
Acceptable media: Zip disks (100 mb), PDF, and CD
Disks should include: all fonts
used (printer and screen); linked graphics (line art, halftone,
or CMYK—with high resolution in place, saved as either EPS
or TIFF); list of all file names used; hard copy proof sized at
100% which matches file exactly (for black/white files) or iris
proof/matchprint (for color files).
PRESERVATION
ONLINE TECHNICAL SPECIFICATIONS
